For this mixed media assignment, I wanted to capture the feeling I had during the primetime of Duluth weather last fall where I was in awe of everything around me on my walks to UMD. As I snapped pictures, I felt like my head was spinning; the next thing I knew, I'd be on campus.
When creating this work I was in the midst of being stalked by someone I spoke to once. That experience took away what safety meant to me. Turning my every day into a walking nightmare. This piece represents the sudden and violent ways safety can be lost.
