This charcoal drawing is a still-life study of a cow skull from class. It was not supposed to be 100% realistic, I like my way of capturing the texture and depth in the skull. I had never done anything like this before, I tried to add a dark tone to accentuate the morbidity.

A lot of figures in history are depicted through sculptures, busts, and/or full body. Some sculptures are in good condition although the older ones are crumbling and cracking with age. I titled it "Becoming History" to recognize the withering of the physical arts as well as physical health.
