Warm Memory
Although my grandmotherâ s hands were pale, and lined, and ridden with arthritis, she still cradled me warmly with them. From close up, this pieceâ s abstract colors evoke feeling; from far off, the shapes form into an outstretched palm, waiting to be held again.

Ophelia (self portrait)
Modeled supine whilst sinking into the depths, this oil painting is a vulnerable exploration of the ideas of self and sleep: the waking consciousness suffusing us with life even while in repose. The vibrant colors are intensely alive, skin flushed, while the cool water draws the viewer in.

Remember me?
How are people remembered in our minds? This piece is about reflecting on moments of the past, the places, and the people we have known. What is remembered is deemed valuable. However, the memory is a trickster, as it blends clear details and hazy recollections, resulting in an altered reality.

As He Wills It
Dynamic cloud like composition in predominantly green tones set over a warm underpainting. The many layers, glazes and overlapping shapes begin to imply depth while the consistency in the pigments value alludes to flatness. Forcing the viewer to decide.

I Just Want My Mom
I have had a very hard time feeling like time is slipping away from me, I often feel like a little kid who just wants her mom.
Whenever I do adult things I tend to feel like i'm not ready to grow up. I feel like this is not only something I feel very heavily, but many of my peers do too.

Together
The hands are held in a vague way that allows the viewer to insert themselves into the scene. Personally, I view the hands as a symbol of love--whether friendship or romantic, our loved ones play key roles in life, and I wouldn't be where I am today without them. This is a token of thanks to them.

What Do You Value
The work depicts a flat lay of sentimental items, symbolizing how we hold prominence and memory to things that would be seen to others as worthless, or have no monetary value.
